I have a fascination with gears, and such so I thought it would be interesting to try to make a simple system using gears and pipes. It's supposed to be a heart and kidneys. I was trying to symbolize how the human body can be like a machine or how body parts can be replaced with artifical parts (I only have one kidney so I get a little giggle out of this picture). I like the raw rugged look of the whole piece because the human body is far from perfect and the same can be said of artifical imitations. Any advice would be welcome because I'm always looking to learn.
