This is an image I did in XSI using displacement mapping and SSS. A friend of mine (Martin Pelletier) told me how he used this technique to do this image :

This is what I used to do the snow... the rest is old school techniques in XSI and Photoshop!!!
My main inspiration is the movie "la marche de l'empreur" a documentary on peinguins!
