This is an illustration of "Rhashaak of Haka'torvhak " for Wizards of the Coast - Eberron Explorer's Handbook, one of the Dungeons and Dragons game manuals.

This was kind of tricky to paint, because the format specified by the art direction was tall and skinny. I had to show a dragon type creature with big dragon wings guarding some sort of ethereal/otherworldly realm.

Anyway, I had a few false starts before I got to this piece, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The first few were real stinkers!
