Thinking about how we translate concepts into our art, conjuring the materials needed straight from our heads. The subject and material are one and the same. I had a similar idea where the subject paints themselves, much like Escher's 'Drawing Hands' but I decided this girl is more concious of her creation, and not a result of it.
