I was suggested to paint a woman drinking from a pretty cup... And, well, that's my interpretation of the theme. Now, what does this say about me? ;)
Anyway, I always seem to paint full body figures, so I decided it's time to try doing a close up. It required a huge amount of patience from my side to paint all the details, but I think that it was all worth it in the end. This picture was mainly meant to be an "extreme realism" practice (especially in transparent fabrics, skintones and backgrounds), but I also wanted to share my, uhm, sense of humour with you guys ;)
The painting was done from absolute scratch in Painter and Photoshop CS. No photos or whatever. The only references used (no strict ones) are ones for the old photos and the wallpaper. I have also done a lot of studying on the gowns from the beginning of XXth century, but what you see is purely my own, original design.
