This is a matte painting for my personal portfolio. It shows the city of Istanbul and a part of old Byzantine Empire before Ottoman Siege in 1453.

I used Vue to create base landscape and foilage.Old buildings were created on Maya but I used some photo reference on clouds,foreground mosque and some key buildings like Hagia Sofia&Galata Tower. Color corrections, glow and any other material were made&painted in Photoshop. I hope you like it..
