This is my take on Persephone, who In Greek mythology was the Queen of the Underworld, and the parthenogenic daughter of Demeter and in later Classical myths, a daughter of Demeter and Zeus. She chooses to become the consort of Hades when he becomes the deity that governs the underworld.
This painting was a test for me in painting intricate details. All done by hand in Painter 9, with minor adjustments in Photoshop.
