This piece is basically about earth being invaded by a higher extraterrestrial race. Air Force One is being ripped apart while massive motherships strip the Earths surface of our presence.
The 747 was a basic (and quite unaccurate) stock model i was provided with (for an old work project), i slapped some simple materials on it, rendered it in Brazil and began photoshopping it into submission :) The rest of the ships were modelled in max as simple low poly meshes that were then modified/painted over in PS. The various atmospheric effects were also painted in PS.
