This is a marketing illustration done for the God of War: Chains of Olympus PSP video game. This was done entirely using Photoshop. I especially enjoyed working on this piece because I was able to paint it up without having to place in any 3D elements. I was able to just go in there and paint the illustration. I wish there were more painterly or illustrated game covers out there. But everything seems to have to have that 3D look, which I'm not saying is necessarily a bad thing, but it'd just be nice to see the occasional painted cover here and there. It's like movie posters- it's all photos. I miss seeing the Drew Struzan posters, don't you? Well, anyways, I had a ton of fun with this illustration. I hope you like it!
