It seems that this part of the world is always in the news and
unfortunately usually for something bad. Having seen Bahrain's name in the
news repeatedly at the beginning of last month for the start of the Formula
1 season, the month ended with more mentions but for the boat tragedy on the 30th of March.

The trip was organised to celebrate the end of major construction on the
Bahrain World Trade Center, a project we have been also involved with
creating the visualisations for. The buildings are unique structures on
the island and were meant to create a landmark, not only on the skyline but
also in terms of the use of renewable energy and construction techniques.
All of this went off without a hitch and on schedule. If only the
celebrations as well. 58 people lost their lives in the sinking of the 'Al
Dana' pleasure boat may their souls rest in peace and our thoughts and prayers are with their families
and loved ones. We live in hope that in the future, we will make the news
for all the right reasons and not the wrong ones.
