This is the first picture i've done with the sumbarine model i've modeled for about one year.. I did not want to make a typical "military scene" in a bunker or a harbour so i decided to add a fantastic element: a giant octopus tearing appart the sub.

I've done the scene in 3dsmax, posed the octopus using spline deformations and rendered the scene almost 20 times with many different light setups and materials because there always was a detail that would not fit.

I composed the different renderings in Photoshop and added many details like the water coming out of the holes, details on the waves and smaller bubbles.
