My second illustration from the Book of the new Sun from Gene Wolfe. This scene shows the hero Severian in the Middle of the atrium of time, A secret and lost place in the middle of the Citadel from the Autarch in NESSUS.
The Images was realized with MAX and Photoshop.
The trees are made with the build in plugin and overpainted in Photoshop as also parts of the environment and the towers. The clouds in the Background are shot with my IXUS during the last storm here in Germany ;)
Some may have seen this already in my Portfolio before... but i made a few little changes at last. And i got the ok from the Publisher to post it in a thread now.
