Originaly this was a sketch of a cartoon character named Vexus .
The queen of a race of robot insects .
I decided to make an ilustration of her , with elements of the Borg Queen , from Star trek .
The resul is a little creepy , as the mechanical arms atach her head to her torso , with eerir green lighting .
from sketch to final painting , 10 hours .
all in photoshop CS2 .
Even if you dont know the original character , I hope you like the result , and as always I am open to comments and critics .
