This was my entry for the recently-concluded CGChallenge, an illustration for Greg Bear's novel 'Eon.' The image was done in Photoshop, with a lot of 3D help in 3DSMax - the huge structure on the right (It's actually a cylindrical city) and a bit of interesting lens experiments taking the base illo and distorting it with a sphere to give a subtle fish-eye lens effect to the image. (I'd never tried it out before but like how it turned out. I may have to try something more extreme next time! :) )
