I made this scene to study how Mental Ray would deal with a multi million polygon scene in a 32-bit system. Apart from having 300 objects with about 3 or 4 million faces each, I´ve added some displacemet and advanced shaders like parti volume shader, mentral ray physical sky shader for the haze and a daylight system, wich I tweaked a lot. Despite some odd memory errors, I could manage mental ray to render a 5000 pixel image. In photoshop I added a very subtle film grain, cromatic aberrations and some vigneting.
