This is an image created for a contest with the theme "Digital Worlds" and I wanted to create something rather abstract that can be interpreted in many different ways. I'm pretty happy with the conceptional to semi realistic result and I hope so are you.

The 3D part was completely done using Blender and its new sculpting abilities combined with some node editor effects.
Afterwards I made some final adjustments with Photoshop.
