Here is my tribute to the actor Christopher Walken; loosely based on the scene from True Romance (in which he plays Vincenzo Coccotti 'The Sicilian', opposite Dennis Hopper). He's a little older here than he was back then (partly as a result of the reference used, but also because I quite liked the craggier looking face. This project gave me the opportunity to try out a few new things (such as sub surface scattering skin and displacement mapping between zbrush and mental ray); I'm reasonably happy with the finished results and i certainly learned a lot in the process, so hopefully the next project shouldn't take half as long to complete.
