I try to create a feeling of abandonment of a once grand civilization that has fallen into decay. Emphasis was place on the usage of contrasting elements and their ability to tell a story. A dawn-time lighting and flying birds was used to create a high key environment which suggests a sense of uplifting quality, but at the same time hints at decay, unease and sadness through the long cast shadows, deep saturated blues and cracked textures.
