This is the production ready hybrid concept car by Volkswagen - the XL1. I have made this model primarily with the intention to sell it on 3D stock sites (just like majority of other items). But as I already am pretty good at hard surface modeling (thought, I need to learn to work a lot faster) I have decided that it is time to give it a try at rendering. Of course I am used to render all kinds of models in white background, but I need to learn how to work when rendering full scenes with 3D backgrounds. That is why I have made this little project. It is somewhat similar to what I had pictured in my head before starting to work on it, but of course it could and should look better - that's all part of the learning process I guess.
