This one was very much inspired by master fantasy artist Jeff Easley. He is one of my biggest inspirations. His warm color palette and amazing depiction of living dead is just something I don't get tired of looking at.
The scene itself was also somewhat inspired by the skeleton crew walking underwater in Pirates of the Caribbean.
